CARRIER, SANDRA L

[br][br]Sandy was born in Havre, Montana to Edwin and Viola Freier. The first-born of six siblings, she lived a complete life full of family, friends, and faith. She passed away peacefully in Lakewood, Colorado. Sandy graduated from Havre High School in 1964. After earning a Nursing degree at Montana State University, she dedicated herself to a caring and compassionate career as a nurse in Spokane, Washington. She possessed an adventurous and spontaneous spirit, enjoying the outdoors of the Northwest and frequenting area lakes and rivers for weekend camping and fishing trips. She was a loving and supportive mother, raising two sons on Spokane's South Hill, running shuttle and cheering at soccer games, tennis matches, bicycle races, and skiing trips. Many a rose bush lived a healthy, colorful life in her garden. Her infectious optimism and kind heart affected everyone she met. The world was made brighter by her smile, sense of humor, and gentle demeanor. A proud and defining accomplishment of her life was recovery and commitment to Alcoholics Anonymous for over 30 years, made possible by her limitless faith in the Lord. Indeed, she was a lifetime member of the church and placed her life direction in the hands of Jesus Christ. Sandy is survived by: Scott Carrier (son) and Teka O'Rourke of Golden, Colorado. Two grandchildren, the light of her life, Chase and Duncan Carrier. Todd Carrier (son) and Emily King of Boise, Idaho. Donna Brewer (sister) of Bellevue, Washington. Diane (sister) and Rich Dolven of Kalispell, Montana. Sheryl Burstock (sister) of Havre, Montana. Janet (sister) and Dal Donoven of Kremlin, Montana. Steve (brother) and Lori Freier of Havre, Montana. Many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces in a close-knit family. All who knew Sandy are invited to join in her remembrance. A celebration of Sandy's life will take place at 10:00AM on Monday, July 21st at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church at 410 5th Avenue in Havre, MT. Interment ceremony will follow at Highland Cemetery, where she will be reunited with her loving parents. An informal gathering of storytelling, memory-sharing, and fellowship will be held at 1:00PM at the Duck Inn at 1300 1st Street.
