[br][br]Dale went home to be with his Heavenly Father while surrounded by his family and friends. Dale was born in Spokane WA to Julius and Clara VanDewalle. He served in the US Army. After his discharge Dale returned to Spokane and married his childhood sweetheart Doris Jean Spence. They owned and operated a small neighborhood grocery store. Dale went on to be a salesman for Lipton Tea for 14 yrs. From Lipton he continued in the grocery business and became president of Fenwick Pickett Food Brokerage. During his 41 years in Lake Oswego he was an active member of Lake Grove Presbyterian Church where he loved and served the Lord. Dale is survived by his wife Doris and daughters Gail Allison-Sanderson (Tommy,) and Donna Ryan (Greg,) four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his sister Jean Haase, son-in-law Bob Allison, and grandson, Greg Allison. A memorial service will be held October 17th at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church in Lake Oswego at 2:00. Donations may be made in Dale's name to Serenity Hospice 11481 S.W.
