MITCHELL, HILDEGARD

[br][br]Hildegard (Haag) Mitchell passed on April 18, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. Hilde was born on August 16, 1932 in Linz, Austria. She came to the United States at the age of 18, became a US citizen in 1960, and has called Liberty Lake, WA home for the past 45 years. She could be tough as nails, surviving childhood in war-torn Austria, single motherhood, and a brain tumor. She loved her years working at the Couer d'Alene Resort, caring for friends' pets, and fastidiously working in her yard. She lived her life with great vigor and tenacity, and her energy was matched by few. She was a dear and loyal friend to many, and a strong and caring mom. She is survived by her children, Erna, Glenn, Ashley (Marti Hickey), and Amber (Rob Gamber), and by her two granddaughters, Zoe Mitchell and Molly Gamber. She touched the lives of nearly everyone at Liberty Lake, and they will not be the same without her. Her immaculate lawn, Austrian accent and enormous personality will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to WA Talking Book & Braille Library, or Hospice House of Spokane in her name.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF SHARON...

In Loving Memory Of
Sharon Anne Wichterman
1944 - 2009
"Shay"
If you look above the
Clouds you'll find
That ever lasting Love
Of Mine
It was late in April
She went away
And with her Heavenly Savior now
Will stay
She will stop a moment at
Heavens Gate
And smile down on loved
Ones that wait
If you listen closely
To the words of Shay
Trust in God and you
Will be with me again
Someday
