[br][br]Sandy was taken from us suddenly after a brief illness, leaving behind her son Jeff Wiik and wife Liz, daughter Lisa Mertens, 7 grandchildren: Greg Wiik, Stacia Meredith and husband Ray, Shawn Farman and wife Melissa, Stefanie Siegel and husband Jerhad, Kimberly Barker and husband Robbie, Tiffany Mertens, Jennifer Mertens and 2 great-granchildren, Logan and Travis. Also survived by her two sisters Karen Eldred and Peggy Cannon and husband Richard. She was preceeded in death by her husband Donald in 2008 and both of her parents.
We are eternally greatful that mom did not have to suffer long through her illness although it has been such a shock for those of us who loved her.
We wish to thank the great staff at Valley Hospital and the staff at the Hospice House. Albeit her stay was very short there you helped her and the family transition through this difficult time.
