Dear Dad,
It has been 5 long hard years since you left us. Mom is doing okay, she talks to you every single day. We keep her busy and still take her to the casino. She loves that so much.
I often find myself missing you... so very much. A deep sadness still overwhelms me, once in a while, but the joy of the memories I hold in my heart, gently pushes my sadness aside. With me always are the wonderful memories of times we spent together and how you taught me to become the genuine, compassionate human being I am today.
For this I thank you Dad, I love you.
