
[br][br]Lola Wallitner Malone, 91, died peacefully on Christmas morning at her home in Anacortes, Washington after a short illness.
Lola was born to Leo Wallitner and Margaret Wallitner. Raised in Port Angeles, Washington by her loving parents, she attended Port Angeles High School and later worked as a secretary for the FBI in Seattle and Honolulu and at Continental Can in San Francisco. In later life, Lola gave much of her time to volunteer work in her community especially enjoying her time at C.O.P.S. in the Spokane Shadle area. Throughout her life Lola took great delight in making delicious things in the kitchen for her family and friends. Lola had many special treats in her recipe books and cards saved to make for those she cherished.
Lola met and married the love of her life, William G. (Bill) Malone in May, 1963. Their two children, Molly Jane Malone Crom and Lisa Marie Handelin were a great delight for Lola and Bill. The four lived in San Rafael, California until Bill's death in 1970. Lola and her daughters then relocated to Spokane, Washington. In 2015, Lola and her sister Joy joined family members in their move to Anacortes.
Lola is survived by her sister Patricia Joy Nagle, her daughters, Molly and Lisa, and her grandchildren, Amanda, Anthony, Alex, Allison, and Andrew.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Margaret Wallitner, her husband Bill Malone, and her sister Theresa Nadine Sadler.
