[br][br]Donald Gene Johnson born in Spokane, WA. , December 7, 1936, Donald will be buried with military honors @ the United States Veterans memorial cemetery in Medical Lake, WA. Donald died peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday March 31, 2013. He was the husband of Carolynne D. Johnson and the father of five adult children and three stepchildren. Steve Johnson, Teresa Stickelmeyer, Rhonda Johnson, James Johnson, Meghan Houston, Kimberlee Melcher, Todd Gossett, Tiffany Zuck. Donald was the proud grandfather to Seventeen Grandchildren, Step-grandchildren, and great grandchildren, all of whom he was extremely proud. Stepson Rick Welch predeceased him.
He worked in sales all his life, retiring from AAA after 25yrs of excellent insurance and membership sales. He overcame many hardships in his life, and always had an insightful word to share. He never forced his opinion on anyone but was always there to support.Donald was a strong believer and a long time member of Spokane Valley Fourth Memorial Church. Donald is survived by his brothers; Rev. Glenn Johnson, and Dr. Dale A. Johnson.
Memorial Service will be held at South Hill Bible 958 E 29th Ave., Spokane, WA 99203 Wednesday April 3, 2013 at 2pm.
